Firm Overview

DeFino Law Associates started as Mirarchi, DeFino and Coppolino in the 1950s. Two of the firm's current lawyers - Michael Anthony DeFino and Vincent Anthony DeFino - are sons of one of the firm's founders.

The name DeFino is well-known in the Philadelphia legal community. The Honorable Anthony DeFino, a surviving member of the firm's founding partners, sits as a senior judge in the Common Pleas Court of Philadelphia County. The Honorable Rose Marie DeFino-Nastasi, the sister of senior attorney Michael Anthony DeFino and Vincent Anthony DeFino and a former member of the firm, also sits as a judge in the Common Pleas Court of Philadelphia County.

DeFino Law Associates continues to practice according to the family and neighborhood values that have been a part of the firm since its beginning. Those values include treating each client with consideration and respect. Clients' telephone calls are always returned as soon as possible and each of the attorneys makes himself available for evening appointments. The firm handles personal injury claims (including motor vehicle accidents), criminal defense, real estate law, Social Security Disability claims, insurance claims, wills and probate.

The firm has chosen to remain small to provide personal, one-on-one service for its clients. Clients typically deal with one attorney from the beginning of their case through the trial.

DeFino Law Associates is located in the area of South Philadelphia known as Girard Estate, on a predominantly residential block. People living in or visiting the area are welcomed into the office, even without an appointment, where they can talk to an available lawyer to discuss their legal matter. Many of the firm's lawyers continue to live in the neighborhood where they and their family members have practiced law for 50 years
